The DEFY Premiere wraps up

Danny Harf, alongside fellow Ronix riders Eric Ruck and Dean Smith, came down under for the Australian Premieres of the film DEFY, The Danny Harf Project. This was a long awaited release, after shooting the movie over 3 years and travelling around the world to get some of the coolest footage seen in a wakeboard movie thus far.

We were lucky enough to head down to the Astor Theatre in St. Kilda to watch this epic release on the big screen. The setting was perfect, walking in through the doors and upstairs to a crowd of people, amongst them, just casually mingling with fans was Ruck, Deano and Danny.

After a while, it was time to get started. Everyone made their way to the seats, popcorn in one hand and a cold beverage in the other. Once it was quiet, Stu WIlson from Ronix Australia begun a little speech, and then asked Danny to join him for a little Q&A about the movie. Deano and Ruck also joined them out front to help with some wakeboard trivia which resulted in giveaways of t-shirts, board shorts and dvd’s. After all this excitement, it was time, the movie had started.

Some sponsor logos flashed about as the curtains opened up, Danny’s voice came through the speakers, with some inspirational words, then all of a sudden we see clips of an young Danny Harf, only a child, introducing himself and telling us what he does.

The crowd cheered and clapped as soon as the end credits starting rolling, a worthy response to such an inspiring film.

Danny, Ruck and Dean took their places behind a long table as people lined up to get their signatures. Someone even brought in the 2007 Ronix One for Danny to sign, a pretty good idea. The line finally ended, and not a moment too soon I would say, the guys looked warn out, but they still managed to kick on afterwards at the after party run by Monster Energy.
