Nautique Owners Reunion09/02/2010

The Australian Nautique community is continuing to grow and Nautiques hosted owners reunions on both the Tweed and Hawkesbury Rivers in December 2009. This is the second year Nautique Reunions have been held and the success of the events promises more to come. Owners traveled from as far as the Northern Territory to meet other likeminded owners and share their boating and water-sport experiences.

The Tweed River Reunion was a weekend affair held at the Hacienda Holiday park where the private boat ramp and marina area was turned in to an unofficial Nautique parking area. Saturday was a busy day on the river and on land. Nautique boats were scattered all over the wonderful Tweed River, on land owners relaxed by the river, enjoyed a BBQ and got to mingle with other owners and the team from Nautiques Australia.

Channel 7's Creek to Coast TV program were also on hand to capture the spirit and action of the event. New team rider Bec Gange was interviewed and then hit the water to show her style in front of the cameras.

Saturday night a bus load of owners dressed for success in musician outfits rocked the Salt Resort located on the beach south of Kingscliff. The bus ride home was a highlight with best dressed prizes awarded to a rowdy group of owners after a great night out. Notable mentions go to Dave Davidson for his authoritative interpretation of the Village People and the combined efforts by the Booby and Mollie clan to show their true appreciation of ABBA.

The Hawkesbury Reunion was held the following Saturday at Jack Ellison's river bank property. The Hawkesbury has seen Nautique boats on the water for many years and some owners took the opportunity to arrive by water from their usual spots on the river. Wakeboard demos were put on by Dean Smith and Ryleigh Pfitzner while the all new Ski Nautique 200 was on hand for those interested in the latest in flat wakes.

Owing to the continuing success and enjoyment of the Reunions, the events are scheduled to return again in late 2010. The dates for the Tweed River Reunion have already been set for the 27th and 28th of November. Owners and those who are interested in Nautiques are invited to join in on the next event in their area.
